Is the best way to get into fashion is just to get famous first?

Don't get me wrong I love Lily Allen, and her style has always been interesting to me. However I find her decision to leave music and begin a fashion career slightly insulting. Again and again celebrities bring out 'fashion' lines and some yes are a success. I would always pick a fashion graduate designers over a dress with a 'madonna for h&m' label sewn into it. Who would you get to fix your broken sink? A traded plumber or the local 'celeb' who has decided they can two be a plumber. Ok I understand fashion isn't quite plumbing but thousands of people have fashion degrees and are trained in fashion but it seems celebrities think 'I can do it two!' Hence forth why lots of Celebrities don't actually design they own lines, and there is no chance they cut they own patterns. Design is technical. However Lily Allen has already done a fashion line. So what next? Oh a vintage store. I read the recent Elle where Lily Allen was giving style advice? The girl who used to wear prom dresses and trainers!? I am the only one finding this insulting? Her style has completely improved and yes she looks amazing most of the time but there has been help from stylists and well Uncle Karl. And if I had her amount of money and got clothes lent to me as would I. The Chanel campaign gave her some fashion credibility however I have always thought she was picked because she was quirky and well relatable. Karl Lagerfeld is one of the best promoters of Chanel and he knows who to get noticed and using Lily was the way. She is also rumoured to be getting her own fashion show… Which of course I will watch but not agree with. Lily I love and if she wants a vintage store sure go ahead but please don't be acting as if you know all about fashion because without a degree or experience you couldn't possible know a thing.
